The Student/Family Pastor is responsible to oversee the growth, development, and discipleship of kids and students at Generation Church. This position requires a firm grasp of the beliefs, values, and strategy of Generation and the ability to build teams with its mission, vision, and values. The Student/Family Pastor will serve as the spiritual leader and role model for the kids and students within GenKids and GenYTH and adults serving within these ministries. The Student/Family Pastor will facilitate the relational connection and spiritual growth of kids and students through weekly gatherings, groups, volunteer teams, and special events.

RESPONSIBILITIES: This position’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
GenKids (Birth - 5th Grade)
- Recruit and develop GenKids Team of volunteer adults to meet the needs of the Kids Ministry
- Provide leadership, direction, and training for all GenKids volunteers
- Review, purchase and oversee the implementation of all curriculums and supplies for both large and small group teaching environments
- Implement and develop programming and resources for the discipleship of kids
- Equip parents to fulfill their calling as the primary spiritual leaders of their kids
- Foster relationships with parents; partnering with them to equip them to spiritually lead their kids
- Responsible for weekly programming for GenKids
- Responsible for the look of the environment and atmosphere
- Lead and Manage GenKids Director
- Meet regularly with Discipleship Pastor to discuss ministry strategy and effectiveness
GenYTH (6th - 12th Grade)
- Recruit and develop GenYTH Team of volunteer adults to meet the needs of the Student Ministry
- Provide leadership, direction, and training for all GenYTH volunteers
- Responsible for weekly programming for both Middle and High School Ministries
- Review, purchase and oversee the implementation of all curriculums and supplies for both large (FUSE) and small group teaching environments (6th-12th grades)
- Effectively teach the bible to students through the weekly student gathering (FUSE)
- Responsible for the look of the environment and atmosphere
- Implement and develop programming and resources for the discipleship of students
- Equip parents to fulfill their calling as the primary spiritual leaders of their student
- Foster relationship with parents; partnering with them to equip them to spiritually lead their student
- Key Influencer and shaper for key GenYTH Events (Camps, Retreats, etc.)
- Establishes and maintains influence within the local middle and high schools; this means students, teachers, and coaches
- Plans and executes events within the local middle and high schools (football team food, etc.)
- Contact work; meet with students, go to schools, meet new students
- Develop content and social media engagement to take student ministry conversations beyond Sunday night (FUSE)
- Meet regularly with Discipleship Pastor to discuss ministry strategy and effectiveness
