Pastor of Maturity and Missions Grace Point Church
I. Maturity Related Responsibilities:
1. Help reach out to attenders that express interest in getting more involved in our ministry.
2. Help manage and teach various maturity related classes - this would include classes already developed and classes that need to be developed - being available to teach Wednesday night and weekend classes
3. Help manage and multiply our small group ministry - by helping recruit and train new group leaders and launch new groups - by meeting with, training and supporting our existing group leaders - by helping manage our various support groups (grief, divorce, blended families, aging parents etc.)
4. Active in discipling and maturing men. Along with teaching various classes related to discipleship, your role includes investing time with our men and raising them up to be models for spiritual growth, mentors to help others and ministers to influence others.
II. Missions Related Responsibilities:
1. Manage our ongoing missions programs and help expand our missions and outreach opportunities 2. Plan and promote opportunities for our people to engage in mission activities
3. Lead teams as they serve in various local and global projects and raise up leaders to lead other mission related projects
4. Help equip and empower our people to share and show God’s love through praying, listening, and sharing their testimony and gospel while involved in missions related activities
5. Manage our Mission’s Budget - includes preparing reports of our financial investments - includes managing our benevolence ministries
6. Supervise our child sponsorship partnerships to ensure accountability and consistency in how the funds are used
III. Other Pastoral Responsibilities
1. Meet with pastoral and ministry staff for planning and encouragement
2. Teach occasionally on Sundays
3. Be available to offer short term counseling to our church family and newcomers
4. Help manage existing support ministries (i.e. Sunday support teams)
5. Other duties as assigned by our Lead Pastor
