Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, creative candidate with strategic and leadership gifts to fill a full-time position as our Creative Director. Candidates should be able to lead a team of staff and volunteers to guide the creative ministries and departments of King’s Park to fulfill our mission to help people Know God, Grow Together, Discover Purpose and Make a Difference. We’re looking for a director who wants to use his or her creative and strategic gifts to serve the Communications, Worship, Production and Arts departments and their associated teams.

 

To be successful as a Creative Director, candidates should have vision, experience and exposure in marketing, worship and service production. They should have project management experience, be solution-oriented and always be looking for ways to expand the reach of the Gospel and King’s Park in the Triangle and beyond. Applicants should understand the overall messaging of King’s Park and how it can be implemented most effectively. 

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of staff and volunteer creatives to support the King’s Park weekend service, special events and online engagement.
  • Recruit and train new volunteers to engage with this team.
  • Provide ongoing training opportunities for staff and volunteer team members.
  • Support the Communications Director, providing oversight to the King’s Park Brand.
  • Support the Worship Director, providing oversight to the weekend worship experience and special events.
  • Support the Technical Director, providing oversight to production needs for the church
  • Serve as a member of the King’s Park Core Leadership Team to support the ministries of the church

 

Job Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in related field, or equivalent experience
  • Prior experience in a creative field and in project management with a variety of projects simultaneously
  • Effective oral and written communications skills, ability to clearly express thoughts to others and exchange information.
  • Desire to be proactive and reach outsiders with the Gospel.

 

You may also have:

  • Working knowledge regarding creative software tools, website and social media platforms
  • Skill as a musician, vocalist or audio engineer
  • Experience with theatrical productions


Commitment:

  • 40+ hours per week; Sunday through Thursday business hours are key
  • Employees, if not already, are expected to participate and complete the membership process upon hiring.
