The HR Specialist is responsible for performing various HR related duties primarily focusing on recruiting.
Responsibilities:
Recruiting
- Review resumes, screen candidates, make recommendations for hiring manager interviews
- Utilize Paycom to manage application flow
- Provide updates to Human Resources Director
- Initiate candidate background and reference checks
- Ensure timely posting and closure of positions
- Ensure recruiting and application retention compliance guidelines are followed
Other areas of responsibility:
- Maintain an open line of communication with Human Resources Director
- Records management
- Document HR Processes
- Compliance
- Cross-train in order to provide back up HR support as needed
- Onboarding and offboarding employees (IT Accounts, exit interviews, keys, etc.)
- HR department related projects
- Training & Development
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as an active member of a Bible believing and preaching ministry
- Ability to work with the highest level of confidentiality
- College education, preferably in business or Human Resources
- Prior recruiting experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products with Excel emphasis
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to multitask while working with a sense of urgency
