Job Description

This position is designed for gifted leaders who are distinctly called by God to shape an environment of worship through song and creative arts. Our church is blessed with gifted musicians, so ideal candidates will not only lead, but build up teams of worship leaders to create encounters with the Lord beyond Sunday ministry. This position requires a deep personal relationship with Jesus that informs vision and discipleship. We invite the fullness of God's presence to be manifested through all spiritual gifts and five-fold leadership of the church as expressed in Ephesians 4:11. The Worship and Creative Arts Director will be responsible for weekly oversight and direction for all aspects of the worship ministry and production.

Leadership Skills & Proficiencies:

• Develop and execute a creative strategy for Mountainbrook Church with Lead Pastors
• Ability to lead, manage, and administrate multiple volunteer teams including worship band and AV team
• Disciple and mentor developing worship and creative leaders
• Ability to articulate a corporate vision for weekly/monthly/quarterly worship
• Work with the Lead Pastors to develop video and media communication strategies
• Ability to sing and lead worship as needed

Creative Skills & Proficiencies:

• Sunday Services: Oversee all elements of worship service production
• Proficient with ProPresenter 7
• Proficient with Planning Center
• Ability to oversee and orchestrate music arrangement
• Understands sound mixing
• Ability to manage and address staging issues as needed
• Ability to troubleshoot problems that may occur during a worship service and efficiently recover the service
• A knowledge of music and able to lead skilled musicians
• Videography and editing knowledge and ability to supervise
• Collaboration with other staff both daily, on special projects and special events (i.e.- Kid's Camp)
• Development and use of the visual and spoken arts for worship and special events.
• Understands creative stage design and lighting related to worship and special events.

• High Capacity Operator – Someone who shows the capacity to spin several plates simultaneously

Preferred Skills:

• Ability to use Adobe suite packages
• Experience leading team members from several generations
