Cornerstone Christian Academy is seeking an energetic, passionate, Christian educator to serve as our Headmaster. Recognized as the head of school, the Headmaster directly supervises all faculty and staff. He shall direct and oversee the entire school operation on a day-to-day basis. This person will be the academic and instructional leader of the school, while also providing direction and leadership in the school’s finances and business. In addition, he or she will lead the school in institutional advancement and development in the areas of fundraising, student recruitment, marketing, and public relations. The Headmaster reports directly to the Cornerstone Christian Academy School Board.
Cornerstone Christian Academy is a new Christian school offering grades K-5 and planning to open for the 2023-24 school year. Cornerstone Christian Academy exists as a ministry of Eastman First Baptist Church for the purpose of providing academic excellence through a Biblical worldview with a desire to develop students who become complete in Christ, build critical thinking skills, and grow in Christ-like character; while providing a loving, safe, and nurturing atmosphere in a structured educational environment.
Applicants must possess a mature Christian walk, demonstrate leadership skills, and hold a Master’s degree or higher. Knowledge of the accreditation process and experience in educational leadership is preferred, but not required. Experience in selecting, editing, and implementing school curriculum is preferred.
Applicants should also have excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to learn and manage educational software systems; excellent leadership and management skills and most importantly, possess a strong desire to see children grow academically and spiritually. Previous experience in school administration is strongly preferred with a preference in private school establishment, management, and operation.
Applicants will be required to affirm our school’s Protestant, Evangelical and theologically conservative statement of faith.
