About First Baptist Kingsland

Kingsland is a rapidly growing community that is nestled between the beautiful waters of the Llano and Colorado Rivers. Kingsland is 70 miles Northwest of our state Capitol, Austin. Our pastor has been here since 2018 and our church provides many opportunities to love and serve one another.

FIRST KINGSLAND EXISTS TO GLORIFY GOD BY MAKING DISCIPLES OF JESUS CHRIST THROUGH THE PREACHING, TEACHING, AND PROCLAMATION OF HIS WORD AND BY SERVING ONE ANOTHER IN TRUTH, LOVE, AND GRACE.

Our mission statement is driven by the Great Commandment and the Great Commission. We strive to be a church that will submit and surrender our lives to see this mission come to fruition.

The Great Commandment

Matthew 22:34-40

But when the Pharisees heard that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered themselves together. One of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And He said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.”

The Great Commission

Matthew 28:16-20

“But the eleven disciples proceeded to Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had designated. When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some were doubtful. And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’”

The local church was founded by God for the purposes of God and the glory of God. The Church exists to bring glory to His name through worship, discipleship, and evangelism. We are humbled by the reality that God works through His Church for the sake of glorifying His great name among the people of Kingsland and beyond.
