Job Description

Rock Bridge Community Church is searching for a Director of Communications! This person will be a leader of leaders who can lead volunteers and staff with responsibility of worship in multiple Dalton venues and gatherings.

Rock Bridge Community Church was planted in 2002 by Matt Evans, his wife, Beth, and a core team of people who saw the need for a fresh approach to church. They dreamed of a church that would reach the lost, the broken, the de-churched, and the spiritually wounded people of the greater Dalton, Georgia area.

18 years later, Rock Bridge is a contemporary multi-site church serving Northwest Georgia and the Tennessee Valley and has been recognized by Outreach Magazine as one of the Top 100 Fastest Growing Churches in America. Currently, around 4,500 people call Rock Bridge home on any given weekend prior to COVID19 at one of our 6 campuses throughout a weekend.

Position Summary

To glorify God by connecting people from all walks of life to life in Christ through strategic leadership of all communication aspects, providing strategic vision of the church’s digital future along with leading teams in executing and implementing the vision, values, and ministry priorities of the church through all aspects of communication.

Role Responsibilities

Serve as “Strategic Engineer” for the Digital Future of the church in alignment with Rock Bridge vision and values.
Serve on and support the Executive Leadership Team in the accomplishment of the church’s mission through prayer, ministry evaluation, discernment, decision making, planning and the overall guidance and leadership insights of the church.
Lead and oversee team(s) that execute the internal and external communications of the church, i.e., Series Branding, Website, Visual Environmental Vision Expression, Social Media, Videography, etc.
Develop communication strategies for staff coordination and collaboration, support and resourcing, accountability and follow-through, and coaching and development to enhance ministry effectiveness promoting a healthy staff culture, to include language development and coaching for Service Hosts ensuring we speak with clarity and unity.
Lead the implementation of strategic and ministry priorities, infrastructure, and best practices by all campus and ministry areas that promote healthy, long-term growth of the church.
Enlist, Equip, Empower & Encourage (E4) others for discipleship and team development.
Align all digital and communication strategies and methods to the overall vision and direction of the church, ensuring common threads weave through all communication.
Develop Digital Ministry Playbook ensuring Rock Bridge and every campus and ministry has a clear strategic plan written and tracked.
Collaborate with Weekend Services Multi-Campus Director in the preparation of creative service elements, graphic, visual, and video support.
Collaborate regularly with the Executive Pastor to ensure ministry and operations alignment, working together to advance RBCC’s mission.
