Job description - A Music Teacher will teach instrumental techniques, scales, sight reading, and music theory to a wide range of ages and abilities.
Representative duties - A Music Teacher will provide students with vocal and instrumental instruction, provide activities to teach pitch, rhythm and music notation, evaluate performance, grade tests and prepare lesson plans, and direct school-wide performances.
Initial qualifications - Candidates must have a background in classroom music instruction, music theory, and the ability to provide accompaniment. Candidates must have a love for children, and the ability to be flexible. A successful candidate is passionate about music education and possesses excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
