We are seeking a gifted person to lead students into a passionate relationship with Jesus Christ by creating a culture where high school and middle school students can belong and become.
The Student Pastor is responsible for casting and communicating vision that inspires spiritual growth in students and their leaders. The Student Pastor will ensure that the student ministry supports the mission and values of TrueNorth Church and is a pipeline for students moving between childhood and adulthood. The Student Pastor will work under the direct supervision of the Pastor of Ministries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the design, development, and growth of the student ministry.
- Plan and execute ministry events, (e.g., 180 Weekend, summer camp, retreats, etc.) in consultation with senior church leadership.
- Conduct regular leadership meetings and training events.
- Coordinate with TrueKidz (Children's Ministry) as necessary.
- In consultation with other church leaders, define a vision for student ministry that contributes to TrueNorth's overall vision and develop a ministry plan to achieve that vision.
- Identify, recruit, develop, and deploy leaders and ministry volunteers.
- Report regularly to TrueNorth leadership the state of, concerns of, and wins of the student ministry.
- In consultation with senior church leadership, develop an annual budget for the student ministry and operate within the budget.
- Serve as a support staff for all weekend services.
- Counsel, visit, and care for ministry leaders and church members as needed.
- Visit local schools and build a relational bridge between TrueNorth and those schools.
- Network with other student pastors and ministries for edification, encouragement, and education.
