Director of Worship & Technical Arts

Atmosphere Church located in Thousand Oaks, California has an immediate opening for an energetic and passionate Director of Worship and Technical Arts. Worship at Atmosphere is composed of music that leaves us empowered and inspired to give love to a world that desperately needs it. Technical Arts is a way of describing how we, as a church, create an atmosphere in our gatherings and through our online church experience that draws people closer to God. 

What you’ll be doing:

• Oversee the Worship, audio, video, and online ministries for all gatherings and special events
• Lead/direct worship on Sunday mornings 
• Recruit and maintain a worship team with a high standard of musical and vocal excellence
• Oversee the production and usage of all video segments in the services 
• Act as a liaison between the larger Atmosphere community and the worship band and tech team 
• Construct an appropriate set of music for worship, connect selections to weekly theme, and transcribe/transpose music as needed 
• Communicate and collaborate regularly with pastor about all aspects of worship in order to create a cohesive weekly worship experience 

What you need to have:

• Proficiency in one or more instruments; keyboard or guitar preferred 
• Strong vocals and stage presence 
• Experience in leading worship 
• Ability to film, edit, and format videos for use in the service 
• Well-developed organizational skills 
• Theology of worship consistent with Atmosphere Church 
• Strong communication and public speaking skills 

Thousand Oaks is known as a bedroom community of Los Angeles and many people from the entertainment industry in Hollywood live in the area.
