Zion is Zion is a kingdom-minded church with the desire to incorporate mission and community into everything we do. We desire our members and visitors to know they BELONG to a community, BELIEVE in and confess Jesus as Lord and Savior, and BECOME disciples who make Jesus famous.
The Early Childhood Coordinator is a part-time (20 hours) position and will work under the Children's Ministry Director. Main duties and responsibilities include:
1. Schedule and train nursery and preschool weekly leaders
2. Assist in administrative and clerical duties within Children's Ministry
3. Assist in developing and implementing age-appropriate environments.
4. Prepare and implement the teaching of age-appropriate curriculum and worship for weekly and seasonal programming, specifically in, but not limited to, nursery and preschool aged students.
5. Must be able to attend one Zion corporate worship service each week.
This position has the potential to increase 10 additional hours each week if willing and able to coordinate a new ministry program called Helping Hands. This ministry is within the Children's Ministry department and works to provide children with unique needs the best course of ministry for each child. They will work on a child by child basis in partnership with a parent to formulate a plan so that each child can best succeed in hearing, learning, and loving the word of God.
