Waterstone Community Church is looking for a collaborative leader that will dive in and take full ownership of the technical production ministry. We are seeking a creatively engaged and spiritually mature Technical Director. This team member will report to the Worship Creative Pastor and will recruit, train, and lead a volunteer team of techs.
Position Description
The Technical Director will assume the ownership, oversight, and responsibility for all audio and visual production for Waterstone Community Church services and special events. Waterstone is looking for someone who is eager to train and develop volunteers to further the technical and production ministry of the church.
Key Responsibilities:
- LEAD | The technical volunteer teams at Waterstone Community Church— which includes all processes pertaining to volunteer onboarding, training, scheduling, and communication— while creating systems that best suit the emotional well-being and time-commitment of the volunteers.
- DIRECT | The Production Volunteer Team on the setup, execution, and breakdown of all things related to A/V production for services and events.
- MAINTAIN | Current standards of operation, improve systems and execution of production, and pioneer new ideas for the production team to create meaningful ways for the congregation to experience Jesus through production.
- STEWARD | Resources and equipment including the maintenance, inventory, upkeep of existing equipment, and upgrading and purchasing new equipment under the direction of the Worship Creative Arts Pastor and Executive Pastor.
What a Strong Candidate Would Look Like:
- This position is meant for someone that is a gifted leader and can troubleshoot well and work under pressure.
- One of the most important gifts that this person will need is the ability to develop others. In a volunteer-based production team, Waterstone is looking for someone that has excellent leadership skills in recruiting and developing others while creating a healthy team culture between worship and production.
- Have some experience in filming and editing video. This is not mandatory but preferred.
Position Salary: $45,000-$55,000 depending upon experience. Health Benefits available.
