Job Description

Nestled in beautiful Loveland, Colorado, along the “front range” of the Rocky Mountains, Faith Evangelical Church (Faith Church) is a vibrant and committed body of believers, whose mission is to be a disciple-making family for Loveland and the world.

Faith Church is currently in the process of finding the Lead Pastor God has chosen to lead our congregation as we continue to serve and extend His Kingdom on earth. At the heart of his calling, on the foundation of strong, Biblically-based expository teaching, he will help create a culture of discipleship, setting the example by his own mentoring and discipling ministry.

From its beginning, Faith Church has had a significant local and global impact. Its members established the Lago Vista community ministry (http://lagovistaneighbor.org/) and Room4Hope (https://room4hope.com/), and actively serve many other local faith-based outreaches and partnerships. Faith also supports about 30 homegrown and partner missionaries who minister

throughout the US and in about 20 countries. Prior to Covid, Faith was expanding its well-established short-term missions program, including a first-of-its-kind partnership with ELIC (http://elic.org).

Faith Church began in 1984, when about 100 members, who desired to stay true to a biblical view of doctrine and practice, left a mainline church to form a new congregation. After considering several conservative denominations, it joined with the Evangelical Presbyterian Churches about a year later. On the foundation of a passion for God’s Word, we have since seen significant numerical, relational and spiritual growth as a diverse body with deep roots and abiding fruit. Faith currently offers three services each week, featuring a traditional, choir-

led worship and a contemporary style.

Qualifications - The Lead Pastor will meet the character qualifications of an Elder outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-12 and Titus 1:5-9. He is accountable to a plurality of elders. He will serve alongside the Elders and Leadership Team to lead the church to fulfill our unique Mission and Values.

  • Willing to perform infant baptisms and infant dedications.
  • Supports a biblical view of marriage.

Responsibilities - The Lead Pastor will spend a majority of his time, focus, and energy on teaching, vision casting, and leadership development. With the Pastor of Discipleship and Outreach he will create a culture of disciples making disciples that pervades our ministries. From a heart for knowing God personally and serving Him wholeheartedly, engaging his team, the church and the community, he will prayerfully. . .

  • Work with our worship teams to develop and deliver weekly and seasonal worship services in traditional and contemporary formats.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling, exegetical sermons that are relevant, uncompromising and true to Scripture. Serve as the Lead for preaching in a role that is shared among the pastoral team.
  • Maintain a missional focus for the church and a value-based congregational culture.
  • Disciple and develop key staff and church leadership.
  • Help identify and develop new leaders within the church.
  • Along with the pastoral team, staff and leadership, implement strategies necessary to align ministries to the Mission and Core Values of Faith Church.
