THE ARMY CHAPLAIN MISSION
A chaplain’s mission is to bring Soldiers to God and God to Soldiers. America calls on our Army to fight and win our nation’s wars, and Army chaplains are there every step of the way. Whether during training or operations, Army chaplains represent a multitude of faith traditions and denominations, and fulfill a sacred calling of service captured in our motto, “Pro Deo et Patria” - For God and Country.
Join the Army Chaplain Corps and have a ministry that embodies global impact, builds up society through individual relationships, and serves others in ways BIGGER THAN YOU EVER IMAGINED!
SERVE GOD AND COUNTRY
Our nation’s Army supports and defends the vital strategic needs of the United States and its territories, while also serving as a vanguard of freedom and justice around the world every moment of every day.
The U.S. Army Chaplain Corps is charged with ensuring the highest level of spiritual care for our Army’s Soldiers and Families. The well-being of our Army’s soul determines the quality of its spirit and morale. It is therefore critically important that our Army secures capable, well-trained, and spiritually fit religious leaders to answer this sacred call.
Joining the U.S. Army as a chaplain is a momentous decision in your pastoral life. You will experience challenges that are unique to military ministry, such as caring for the wounded, conducting military funerals, and deploying for combat operations. You are needed now more than ever to bring Soldiers to God and God to Soldiers. Their Families and loved ones also need the spiritual leadership and guidance that only an Army chaplain
can provide.
You can make a true difference serving God and your country as an Army chaplain. Consider answering this sacred call.
