JOB TITLE | Service Programming Director

REPORTS TO | Lead Pastor

HOURS | 40+ per week

DAYS | Sunday – Thursday

PURPOSE

To inspire people to follow Jesus by creating experiences that leave people wanting to come back and

take the next step. The Service Programming Director (SPD) is to establish and fully lead (through

scheduling, volunteer development, budget, and environment implementation) a service

programming division organized around our mission, vision and strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Leadership

a. Prioritize and pursue a growing relationship with Jesus Christ
b. Be a raving fan of Hamilton Mill Church (HMC) and North Point Ministries by personally
engaging with and positively reflecting the vision, mission and strategy to everyone
inside and outside of the church
c. Inspire, equip and empower the Service Programming team (staff, contractors and
volunteers) to personally engage with the mission, vision and strategy of HMC
d. Facilitate healthy team dynamics by personally embracing and leading the Service
Programming team to embrace the Staff Values of North Point Ministries and HMC
e. Prioritize the professional development of the HMC Service Programming team
f. Work with the Lead Pastor and Multi-Campus Director to hire and evaluate Service
Programming staff
g. Work with the Lead Pastor and Multi-Campus Director to ensure that HMC is a great local
church for the adults in our community, while also being a part of a great group of
churches
h. Work with the Lead Pastor to create and manage the annual Service Programming
budget for HMC

2. Recruit, hire, train, develop and oversee a world class Service Programming Team (Staff,Contractors, Volunteers)

3. Create culturally relevant worship environments that immediately engage people to want to

come back

a. Provide overall guidance for worship service programming (Announcements, look/feel of
the environment, technical, and musical needs) for Sundays as well as other department’s
events.
b. Lead the planning team that creates and plans Sunday worship services

4. Program unforgettable experiences where attendees are engaged, involved and challenged

a. Create, plan and produce special events (Night of Worship, Good Friday, Vision Night,
etc.)
b. Produce the worship service
c. Train Producers to produce the worship service

5. Other Responsibilities

a. Continually identify and remove obstacles that make it difficult for those who are turning
to God
b. Continually evaluate, improve, develop and implement systems designed to create
unforgettable experiences
c. Ensure the wise stewardship of all resources by designing, maintaining and overseeing
the Service Programming Budget
d. Oversee the purchasing and maintaining of all production equipment
e. Serves as Division Director for Service Programming at HMC
