POSITION OVERVIEW:
StoneBridge Church is in search of a NextGen Director. This new position will oversee and lead all ministries from cradle to college. Their goal is to establish ministries to children and students as one strategic, continuous ministry that maximizes the impact the church can have before adulthood. The focus will be to minister to the whole family, empowering parents and mentors to better disciple their children to maturity in faith.
STAFF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build and maintain a strong NextGen Ministry that effectively disciples children & students inside of StoneBridge and reaches those outside of StoneBridge.
- Create environments where children & students will experience the presence of God.
- Develop and lead a cohesive team of NextGen volunteers who will invest into the lives of children & students.
- Oversee NextGen Ministry activities, including weekly gatherings, fun events, and missional endeavors.
- Build and foster strategic partnerships with parents, schools, and youth organizations
- Shepherd and disciple volunteers, children & students toward a deeper commitment to Christ.
- Oversee/facilitate NextGen ministry administration, logistics, and budget
- Schedule all weekly NextGen event volunteers
- Other responsibilities as needed
UNIQUE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create safe environments for students to connect with leaders around the gospel
- Develop and execute a strategy to reach & keep 0-12th graders
- Work to make content teachable by volunteers for 0-12th
SKILLS, ATTRIBUTES AND ABILITIES:
- Strong and growing Christian Faith
- Strong understanding of how to implement effective change and build teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic understanding of child/youth development
- Must be a team player, with experience working in a team environment
- Possesses basic knowledge of computer applications, (i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
- Ability to learn or have experience with ProPresenter and ChMS
- Ability to handle confidential matters discreetly and efficiently
