Job Title:          Senior High Girls Director

Reports To:     Senior High Youth Minister

SUMMARY

TO REALIZE THE THING PEOPLE NEED MOST FROM ME IS MY OWN SANCTIFICATION.

·        Maintain your own spiritual disciplines: Bible intake, prayer, and meditation.

·        One-on-one counseling and mentoring of Sr. High girls.

·        Involvement in Discipleship Program to help Christian students mature in their faith and for folding them into the church.

·        Involvement in outreach of the youth ministry that incorporates our overall objectives and philosophy.

·        Involvement on Leadership Team.

·        Under the Senior High Youth Minister’s direction, recruit parental support and involvement in the youth program and train and recruit youth volunteer workers.

·        Carry out the Grace Evangelical Church’s Mission Statement – “Reaching an unchurched world through maturing Christians”.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Primary role is supporting the Senior High Youth Minister and being a spiritual mentor to Senior High girls

                       Reports directly to Sr. High youth minister

Create discipleship opportunities for Sr. High girls (one-on-one discipleship, lead girl’s Bible studies, outreach and girl’s events)

• Record all business transactions of the Sr. High youth ministry

                       Handle all money for Sr. High trips

                       Attending trips and events is required

• Make Sr. High trip brochures and keep up with trip sign-ups
• Gather small group data and report info to Sr. High leaders

                       Send weekly email with prayer requests, upcoming events,                                                      birthdays for the week and visitors

                       Record visitor info in a spreadsheet and send visitors a letter

                       Keep Small Group binders organized and current

                       Manage and keep folders organized

• Keep track of roll for Sr. High in database

                       Updated monthly roll in folders

                       Yearly ministry phone books

                       Create labels and send mail-outs

• Submit updates for the Sr. High website and stay in contact with students through social media.
• Make Sr. High monthly newsletter and make/mail birthday cards
• Maintain Sr. High youth ministry calendar
• Organize and update Sr. High room regularly
• Counsel when asked
• Read books on a regular basis pertaining to youth ministry or relational ministry with girls.
• Attend Grace Evangelical Church’s ministerial staff weekly and monthly meetings.
• Attend games, activities, performances, recitals, etc. for girls as much as possible and create relational opportunities (dinners, parties, sleepovers, etc.)
• Keep up regularly with female volunteer leaders to assist them in their ministry and let their voices/ideas be heard
• Send weekly Sr. High bulletin information to church secretary
• All other jobs assigned by Sr. High Youth Minister

Ministerial Staff

As part of Grace Evangelical Church’s ministerial staff you will be required to perform other duties as needed or assigned by the Senior Pastor.

Education and Experience

A.   One year’s ministry experience in related area of ministry or combination of ministry experience and academic training and preparation

B.   Bachelors or Master’s Degree in a relevant area
