Trinity Presbyterian Church (trinitychurchny.com) is seeking a Director of Family Ministries to lead our ministry programming for elementary, middle and high school students.
The Church
Trinity Presbyterian Church was launched over 25 years ago by Redeemer Presbyterian Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Tim Keller. Trinity Church’s vision is to be a flourishing community of individuals and families in the northern NYC suburbs that loves and follows Jesus, and transforms our world through the power of the Gospel.
The Candidate
The ministry of the Director of Family Ministry will oversee all aspects of children’s ministries including staff, volunteers, Sunday programming, the children’s choir and a variety of other responsibilities throughout the week. In addition, the Director will plan and promote ministries to middle and high school students (and their families), including regular youth group meetings, fellowship events, retreats, etc. There will also be administrative duties in all aspects of the ministry connected with the role of the Director of Family Ministries.
The Qualifications
The Director of Family Ministries should have experience in effective leadership in ministry with children and youth. Experience in leading and instructing children in music and singing is a plus, but not required. The DFM should posses at least a bachelor’s degree, and additional studies (especially in ministry or education) is, while not required, a plus. Ordination is not a requirement. This is not an assistant pastor or associate pastor position. Any qualified person may apply.
