Every church does something well (be thankful); no church does everything well (be hopeful). You’ll find this axiom applies as much to our beloved church as any other. And yet it is just that—love for our church as well as love for our Savior—that keeps thankfulness and hopefulness in the proper tension for us. At First Evan we know Jesus always comes with His people attached, just as we know He will come again for His people. The church is highly valuable to Jesus. This is why our church’s vision, direction, and mission is catalyzed by doctrinal, moral, and relational priorities so we can glorify Jesus Christ and magnify His gospel in all of life until He comes.
