Connection Ministries is a faith-based non-profit ministry, located in Indianapolis IN. Our mission is to equip Christian congregations to minister with adults with intellectual disabilities.
It is our vision that these churches become authentic faith communities that reach out, share the Good News of Jesus Christ, and embrace people with intellectual disabilities, their families, and support staff. In community we can grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ.
We advance this vision through local congregational Friendship groups. Friendship groups are ministries of the local congregation where Christian community is formed.
Most Friendship groups meet weekly in the evening, from September through May. During the summer, they host three-evening Gatherings. In these Friendship groups, we live out five ministry elements of study of God’s Word, worship, prayer, fellowship, and ministry together.
Connection Ministries is not a congregation, but out network congregations reach about 350 adults with disabilities with about 250 volunteers. Information about Connection Ministries can be found at https://connection-ministries.org/.
