Oakhill Baptist Church is a vibrant, growing, multi-generational, multi-staff church in Evansville, Indiana. Our vision is to be a church where our membership grows in their relationship with the Lord and looks for ways to reach out to those who do not know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Evansville is the third largest city in Indiana and the largest in the southern part of the state. Evansville is only 2-3 hours away by car to cities such as Nashville, St. Louis, Louisville, and Indianapolis. As of the 2018 census, the city had a total population of 117,298 and a metropolitan population of 358,676. Located on the Ohio River, Evansville promotes typical Midwest living with its rolling hills and beautiful seasons. Outdoor lovers enjoy all that the seasons have to offer, including summer water recreation and fall festivals. The shopping center in Evansville attracts natives all across the state of Indiana. Because of this, the retail industry in the city is robust. Other major corporate headquarters and manufacturing centers include Atlas Van Lines, Toyota, Berry Global, Shoe Carnival, and One Main Financial. The city has several well-known institutions of higher education such as the University of Evansville and the University of Southern Indiana.
The mission of Oakhill Baptist Church is to see people’s lives change radically by entering into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and then grow in faith as we BEHOLD God in worship, BELONG to a small group of believers weekly, BECOME more like Jesus through accountability relationships, and go BEYOND ourselves as we serve others in our congregation and those outside the walls of our church.
