Callahan, Florida
Callahan First Baptist Church was established in 1859 and strives to relate to the contemporary 21st Century needs of western Nassau County, northern Jacksonville and southeastern Georgia.
Located 25 miles north of downtown Jacksonville, the town of Callahan (and the surrounding area) is primarily a bedroom community for metropolitan Jacksonville. Callahan is in Nassau County within 20 minutes of shopping areas in Yulee (east on A1A) and in North Jacksonville (south to I-95 via Lem Turner Rd and I-295).. Jacksonville International Airport is 15 minutes southeast of Callahan.
The four schools in the Callahan area (Callahan Elementary, Callahan Intermediate, Callahan Middle and West Nassau High School) were all "A" rated in 2021.
