Black River Baptist Association

Black River Baptist Association is seeking a full-time/part-time Associational Missionary to provide leadership to our family of 23 churches in Northeast Arkansas.

BRBA is:

*A group of normative size churches with various backgrounds contexts.

*A ministry with great potential for growth in the area of missions.

*An established ministry partner and resource provider to the local church for more than a century.

*A ministry in need of leadership in a ever changing world concerning Associational Missions.

Responsibilities of this position include:

* Planning, coordinating, promoting, and implementing the association’s vision of serving churches (in the areas of church health, evangelism/outreach, group life, and missions)

* Actively participating in the ministries of the association and its churches

*Collaborating with and supporting state/national denominational organizations

*Providing day-to-day administrative leadership for the association and its employees

An ideal candidate for our next Association Missionary will meet the following criteria:

* Born again follower of Christ with a Southern Baptist background

* Bachelors degree or higher from an Southern Baptist affliated or like minded Seminary

*10 or more years in Christian ministry

* Shepherd of leaders

* Alignment with Baptist Faith Message (2000)

* Proactive leadership

* Able to unite our churches under the banner of the Gospel of Jesus Christ

* Able to assist in church conflict when needed

* Able to connect churches church leaders

* The strongest of commitments to local, state, national, and international missions

* Adaptability in the field

* Approachable

* Aware of current events in SBC life

* Actively involved in assocational missions and local church missions

* Trustworthy in counsel possessing appropriate confidentiality skills
