Introduction

Midway Baptist Church is a mission‑driven congregation with more than a century of faithful ministry. Established in 1887, we honor our heritage while pursuing God’s call to reach our community and the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our church is marked by genuine fellowship—deep relationships reflecting our love for Christ and one another.

Faith and Worship

We remain committed to foundational Christian beliefs, blending traditional hymns with occasional contemporary worship. Midway is known for strong fellowship, welcoming spirit, and a deep commitment to missions and sharing the message of Jesus Christ.

Ministry & Structure

Midway is affiliated with the Staunton River Baptist Association, Baptist General Association of Virginia, and Southern Baptist Convention. The church is supported by volunteers and staff including a Pastor, Groundskeeper, and Custodian.

Congregation & Outreach

Our multigenerational congregation engages through Sunday School, worship, and midweek services. We host outreach events such as Beast Feast, Vacation Bible School, Trunk or Treat, concerts, and Easter activities—building connections within our community.

Missions & Stewardship

We dedicate approximately 30% of our budget to missions and support efforts including Operation Christmas Child, Lottie Moon, Annie Armstrong, and local outreach, reflecting our commitment to serving both locally and globally.
