Yakima, Washington
Spirit Alive Wesleyan Church is a small but growing church averaging around 75 in attendance, however, we have around 150 people who call us their church home.
Our core values are “Belong, Believe, Be Free, and Become”.
We are a relationship centered church. Our youth and children’s ministries are both small, but growing, and we wish for them to grow more. With this position, 100% effort will be put in to growing our next generations of believers. Yakima, WA is a community with a metro area of around 300,000 that is very spread out with only about 90,000 people within the city limits. It is 1.5 hours to Mt. Rainier national park, and both Mt. Rainier and Mt. Adams are visible from the city. The valley is surrounded by foothills of substantial size, and believe it or not, we live in a desert. Yakima receives only around 8-9 inches of rain a year and only around 5 inches of snow. We are 2.5 hours East of Seattle, 3 hours away from Portland, and 3 hours away from Spokane. The city is 50% hispanic and the culture and cuisine match that number.
