Senior Pastor

Atlantic Baptist Church is seeking an ordained pastor with a minimum education of a seminary degree. Atlantic Baptist Church seeks to spread the love of Christ to the upper Eastern Shore of Virginia, to our state, and to the world. Atlantic is located just minutes from the NASA Wallops Flight Facility and is in close proximity to Navy and Coast Guard housing, which offers a great opportunity for growth in our church. In addition, we are just minutes away from beaches and coastal waterways which provide recreation and a great example of God’s beauty. Atlantic Baptist Church was established on July 1st, 1877 and is aligned with the Baptist General Association of Virginia (BGAV).

The candidate should be an effective preacher who is a leader and has a vision for growing the church. The candidate should also have strong Biblical knowledge and be effective in planning and leading worship. In addition, the candidate should be a humble and caring individual who is eager to create a strong Christian bond with our church family and the community. The pastor, with assistance from the church, provides overall leadership. Responsibilities include preaching, teaching and worship, pastoral care, and outreach to the community.

The pastor’s salary package range is $50,000-$60,000 and includes housing (parsonage located next to the church).
