Praise and Worship Leader

WHO are we? We are a welcoming, affirming body of Jesus followers whose mission is to lead people to a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Our primary focus is to reach the unchurched, "dechurched" and the next generations in our community. Our motto is "No matter where you are on life's journey, we welcome you here." The Worship Leader will contribute to our mission by practicing our three core values within the context of the music ministry. These values are (1) Intentional Relationships; (2) Growing Faithfulness and (3) Servant Leadership.

WHAT is the job? We are looking for a Worship Leader to help draw us into a closer relationship with God as we sing and praise His name.

• A strong vocal talent with the ability to lead with an instrument and/or band. Someone that has a vision and the ability to execute weekly prepared songs.

• A leader from the stage that can engage the congregation in communal worship. We need someone that has a desire to worship and not just perform.

• A leader that can guide and encourage lay members to utilize their gifts in worship including training and rehearsal times mid-week.

• A disciple that will be held accountable to the Pastor as well as growing in his/her own faith journey.

• Someone that will be seen as a Leader in the church and involved in church activities.

WHEN? PT hours including each Sunday morning leading worship and weekly training, mentoring lay worship team members in rehearsal. Also includes a weekly communication/accountability meeting with the Pastor.
