Overview:
Memorial Baptist Church (MBC) is seeking a full-time Children’s Minister who has a humble heart to serve children (birth-5th grade). MBC is a dual campus church located in the rapidly growing Baytown/Mont Belvieu area with an average attendance of 300-400 in worship.
Responsibilities:
- To oversee ministries for children at MBC and to support the Children’s Director at MBC’s 2nd campus
- To work with all staff and volunteers to achieve spiritual and numerical growth
- To lead an ongoing process of recruiting volunteer personnel for the children’s ministry
- Coordinate and supervise paid child care workers
- To communicate biblical truth with a servant’s heart
- To plan, submit, and implement the annual children’s ministry budget
- To select curriculum and to promote children’s activities and training to leaders, volunteers, and church staff
- To provide general oversight and ministry to the weekday Preschool Program at MBC
- To maintain communication with the congregation to strengthen and promote the children’s ministry among church members, parents, and the community
- Qualifications:
- Called to ministry and currently active in church
- A joyful/uplifting attitude
- Previous experience with children; Bible college or seminary a plus
- Driven by prayer and guided by scripture
- Strong teaching, leadership, and delegation skills
- Evidence of a growing relationship with Christ
- A cooperative and motivating relationship with children, families, church staff, volunteers, and the community
