We are currently seeking a Part-Time Kids Director to join our staff team. The Kid’s Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kid’s ministry in tandem with the NextGen Pastor, promoting a safe, engaging, and gospel-centered environment where kids can grow in their faith and families feel supported. This includes coordinating volunteers, planning programs, and ensuring a fun, welcoming experience each week. The position is part of a supportive and collaborative ministry environment where staff are encouraged to grow in their faith and professional development.
Qualifications
• Have an active, growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Previous experience serving in a church or working with children (paid or volunteer).
• A member of First Baptist Clermont or will become a member shortly after being hired.
Education & Experience
• High school diploma required.
• Prior involvement in children’s ministry or similar roles is valued (volunteering,
internships, part-time or full-time positions).
• Experience working with children in settings such as teaching, camp counseling, or
similar roles is preferred.
Technology
• Proficient in Microsoft and Google tools (Drive, docs, excel, etc.)
• Has an understanding and willing to learn Planning Center and ProPresenter
Work Hours
• Part-time: 20 hours per week (with flexibility for special seasons/events and recovery
time).
o Flexible schedule: May work from home when appropriate.
o Must be in the church office on Tuesdays.
Ministry Leadership
• Develop, plan, and lead Kids Ministry programs and discipleship opportunities alongside
the NextGen Pastor.
• Assist in planning and executing worship services, weekly discipleship gatherings
(Sundays and Wednesdays), and special events.
• Meet with children and families as needed to provide care and support. Partner with
Parents.
• Encourage and connect with volunteers regularly.
• Teach regular during Kid’s worship services, weekly discipleship gatherings (Sundays
and Wednesdays), and when needed.
• Serve as a resource for the FBC Clermont community when needed.
Administration
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Kids Ministry.
• Coordinate weekly worship and discipleship activities, as well as special events, in
partnership with the NextGen Pastor.• Communicate clearly with staff, families, volunteers, and the church about upcoming
activities and ministry needs.
• Collaborate with other pastoral staff to support church-wide ministry efforts.
Volunteer Management
• Recruit and onboard volunteers on an ongoing basis
• Care for and train volunteers on an ongoing basis
• Manage volunteers through planning center
Team Participation
• Work closely with the NextGen Pastor and church staff to foster a healthy, team-oriented
ministry environment.
• Assist with church-wide events (e.g., Funerals, Weddings, VBS, Fall/Spring Festivals,
Family Fellowships) as directed.

• Create opportunities for children to:
o Love God.

o Connect with Jesus-loving adults.
• Partner with families to encourage spiritual growth at home.
