General Description:
This
position will provide primary technical expertise, management, and support for
the audio and visual production, including lighting systems, video recording
and broadcast, of LCPC events such as worship, concerts, forums, on-line
meetings, presentations, and other events. This position requires visionary and
technical leadership over the essential areas of importance including preparing
LCPC facilities for such productions. Responsibilities include managing tech
staff and overseeing the recruiting and training of volunteers for all audio,
video media operation for worship services and other events; maintaining all sound, video, lighting and media
equipment; editing and producing videos, and broadcasting of Sunday worship
services and other LCPC events as requested.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage, schedule, and provide visionary leadership
to tech staff and volunteers.
·
Oversee the technical aspects of all worship
services, meetings (as requested), concerts, and other events as requested.
·
Provide or manage maintenance of all sound, video, broadcast
and lighting equipment.
·
Ensure the provision of sound reinforcement,
technical assistance, stage set up, multimedia presentations, and recordings,
as required for other services, including weddings, memorial services,
baptisms, concerts, and all special events.
·
Oversee recording, production and online posting of
worship services and church events.
·
Advise and work with the Director of Worship Arts,
pastoral staff, the Director of Business Administration, and other members of
the leadership team on budgeting and purchasing sound, lighting, video, cameras,
broadcast equipment, media equipment and media software and invoicing for third
party technical assistance or production.
·
Assist Session supported ministries in overseeing
high-quality production of short films, slides, or presentations (PowerPoint, ProPresenter,
etc.) as requested.
·
Prioritize LCPC production projects in consultation
with the Director of Worship Arts and the Senior Pastor.
·
Maintain good condition and inventory of
audio/visual/lighting/broadcast equipment.
·
Record and edit video of worship services, concerts
and other church events as requested.
·
Manage a team of 24-36 technical volunteers
·
Provide project scheduling information to and review
the master calendar on a regular basis with the Senior Administrative
Assistant.
·
Regular training/education to stay informed of
industry trends and developments which will assist in LCPC’s continued
relevance and production efficiency (every 2-3 years) as approved by the
Director of Worship,
SKILLS AND
QUALIFICATIONS:
Work experience requirements:
·
Minimum 10 years of previous experience in a
technical operations management role
·
Thorough understanding of Zoom and other online
applications
·
Thorough understanding of sound, video presentation,
and lighting systems
·
Thorough understanding of Yamaha M7CL digital audio
mixers
·
Thorough understanding of audio and video workstations
(digital signal processing)
·
Thorough understanding of basic audio concepts
including compression, equalization and acoustics
·
Thorough understanding of multitrack recording via
digital audio interface
·
Thorough understanding of signal routing and
digital signal processing (audio and video) including resolutions, codecs,
framerates, and sample rates.
·
Knowledge of video production including experience
with shooting filming sessions, camera setup, lighting for video, framing
shots, and recording field audio.
·
Demonstrated experience with post-production
editing systems including digital audio workstations and video editing software
·
Thorough understanding of broadcast production
including experience with video switcher operation, live streaming encoders,
and live streaming web GUIs
·
Management of tech staff and volunteers producing
high quality audio and video broadcasts and recordings
Education Requirements / Qualifications:
·
Audio Visual Technology degree, Media Production
degree, or equivalent
