Job Description

WoodsEdge en Español a Hispanic ministry of WoodsEdge Community Church is looking for an Audio/Visual Technician to support our weekly worship, providing the congregation with technical audio and video oversight during Sunday services.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate Christ-like character, and be committed to WoodsEdge Community Church’s vision, values, and what we believe. Prove to have extensive technical knowledge and experience in working with sound, video, and lighting systems. Excellent analytical skills, hands-on and work without supervision.

Ability to work and communicate with staff and volunteers and be able to work on Sunday’ mornings. since the candidate would be expected to start and run the church’s audio/visual equipment before the Sunday morning services, troubleshoot during the service, should the need arise, and shut down afterward. Must have Previous experience and training in the field of A/V technology.

Main job Responsibilities:

Sound: The sound portion of the tech's job is to oversee the soundboard and mixers for all microphones, speakers, and other audio functions, also is responsible for all microphone and instrument channels and ensuring the music is mixed properly. Equipment: StudioLive 32SC,

Lighting: Set up different programs from time to time. Software Hog 4 PC.

Media: The media portion of the job includes setting up and troubleshooting the recording of the sermon and multimedia presentations provided by the speaker or pastor. Software and Equipment: ProPresenter 7 and ATEM mini Pro to stream and record.

Sermons: During the pastor's sermon, there may be slides, music, videos, etc., and microphone level control and making sound adjustments might be needed for real-time problems, in the sanctuary and/or while recording.

Personal skills: Work alongside Communications Coordinator and Worship Leader and train volunteers to work with A/V.

Extra hours would be required when special services are scheduled, usually during the Christmas and Easter seasons. In addition, extra hours might be needed for troubleshooting A/V equipment and software issues. that potentially occur, or equipment upgrades that might be necessary.

Job Type: Part-time (6 to 10 hours)

Requirements:

  • Education and Training: High school diploma or equivalent required, College degree preferred.

  • Experience: 3-5 years of relevant work experience preferred.

  • Language: Bilingual Fluently (Reading, Writing, and Speaking) in English and Spanish required

Salary: $20.00 – 22.00 per hour
