ChMS Programmer

As a ChMS Programmer, your primary role will be developing and enhancing the applications and automations that assist ministries with our mission to know Christ and make Him known. With your expertise, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a wide range of features, modules, and customizations within the current church management platform. You will also be responsible for upkeep, health, and maintenance of the Microsoft SQL Server platform for our backend development. Your strong technical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and adept problem-solving abilities will guarantee seamless functioning and ongoing enhancement of our environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Customize and extend Rock RMS's existing features and functionality to meet our organization's specific needs.

• Design and develop custom solutions, plugins, and integrations within the Rock RMS platform, following best practices and coding standards.

• Optimize the performance of Rock RMS by identifying bottlenecks, implementing caching strategies, and tuning database queries.

• Perform thorough testing and debugging to ensure the quality and stability of the developed solutions.

• Stay current with the latest trends and advancements in the Rock RMS ecosystem and propose innovative solutions to enhance our platform.

• Demonstrate strong problem-solving and debugging skills, effectively troubleshooting and debugging code.

• Responsible for the health and security of the Database including monitoring daily backups.

• Protecting the database against threats or unauthorized access.

• Optimizing database systems with regular updates and patches.

• Leverage Asana’s Projects to keep teams informed of progress and new features.

• Other duties may be assigned.
