Senior/Lead Pastor

After the retirement of our senior pastor, the members of Southern Calvert Baptist Church in Lusby, Maryland are currently searching for a Senior / Lead Pastor with a vision to further grow our congregation and our impact, and thrive spiritually. Southern Calvert Baptist Church is a medium sized debt-free church united in serving the Lord Jesus Christ. We subscribe to the Baptist Faith and Message, and support the SBC, the Baptist Convention of Maryland and Delaware, and the Potomac Baptist Association. We are a congregation with over 400 members and an average weekly attendance over 300 worshiping in a sanctuary which can seat over 500. In Southern Maryland near Solomons Island, we are located on the western shore of the Chesapeake Bay near the mouth of the Patuxent River about one hour south of Washington, DC and Annapolis. Our staff of two associate pastors and an administrative assistant partners with lay leaders to serve dynamic ministries in multi-generational education, local/national/international missions, and glorifying music. • Ordained Southern Baptist Minister

• Senior / Lead Pastor of church with multiple staff (5 years minimum desired)

• Moderator experience (desired)

Education

• Seminary Degree or equivalent (required)

• Master or Doctorate of Divinity from a Southern Baptist Seminary (desired)
