Director of KIDS Elementary Experiences

JOB DESCRIPTION

DEPARTMENT: Spiritual Development

REPORTS TO: KIDS Family Pastor

POSITION PURPOSE

The principle function of the KIDS Elementary Experiences Coordinator is to oversee all development and implementation of programming for kids Kinder to 5th grade.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• 4-year college degree

• Experience with elementary-age kids

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Works Sunday mornings, Wednesday nights, and regular church office hours as the Kid Family Pastor designated.

• Recruit, develop, and motivate Large and Small Group Leaders

• Manage all aspects of Sunday and Wednesday Elementary large and small group experiences

• Sunday Experience:

• Management of all small group lesson material

• Assist/ Lead Large Group Teaching with Kids Family Pastor

• Collaborate with the Creative Arts Department in facilitating media needs

• Weekly Programming of Elementary Large Group slides, videos, and media

• Weekly Programming of all other Elementary Media needs.

• Ensure all Elementary spaces are prepared and ready to receive kids

• Assist with Leader Training and Appreciation

• Assist in teaching and facilitating leader training and appreciation events

• Coordinate with the KIDS Ministry Resource Coordinator to ensure all supplies and weekly needs are ready for weekend programming

• Assist individual leaders with curriculum implementation and classroom management as needed

• Create strategies to manage rotations of groups Kinder- 5th grade from small to large group activities

• Prepare and email all elementary monthly volunteer schedules making changes and alterations as required

• Assist in teaching and facilitating teacher training and appreciation events

• Monthly meeting with the KIDS Ministry Resource Coordinator to plan and prepare for all programming supplies, such as small group lessons.

Kids Wednesday Night Discipleship

• Same responsibilities as Sunday Experiences, with emphasis on discipleship of Kids

• Special Event Elementary Curriculum and Programming Development- Easter, Adventure Week Christmas

• Assist with Kids’ Team Events

• Other items as signed by KIDS and Family Pastor
