Senior Pastor

The Senior Pastor at the Duluth Gospel Tabernacle is responsible for the following duties:

1. Preaching and teaching the word of God in an effective and engaging manner
2. Initiate and participate in corporate church prayer on a regular basis
3. Shepherding and Counseling one-to-one or families, using good listening skills and observing confidentiality
4. Participate in Pastoral care: officiating weddings and funerals and visiting members in the hospital as needed
5. Look for and recognize potential ministry strengths in others, and mentor them as appropriate
6. Initiate formal/systematic contact with visitors, and invite them to small groups and other church activities
7. Coordinate and manage the many ministries at DGT; supervise staff and delegate tasks as appropriate
8. Attend all board meetings
9. Participate in inter-church ministry: FCA conventions, camps, etc
10. Other duties as assigned
