Senior Pastor

The Senior Pastor at the Duluth Gospel Tabernacle is responsible for the following duties:

• Preaching and teaching the word of God in an effective and engaging manner

• Initiate and participate in corporate church prayer on a regular basis

• Shepherding and Counseling one-to-one or families, using good listening skills and observing confidentiality

• Participate in Pastoral care: officiating weddings and funerals and visiting members in the hospital as needed

• Look for and recognize potential ministry strengths in others, and mentor them as appropriate

• Initiate formal/systematic contact with visitors, and invite them to small groups and other church activities

• Coordinate and manage the many ministries at DGT; supervise staff and delegate tasks as appropriate

• Attend all board meetings

• Participate in inter-church ministry: FCA conventions, camps, etc

• Other duties as assigned
