About the Church
At Wellford Baptist Church, we are passionate about Jesus and His gospel. Our steadfast pursuit is to make disciples of Christ who make disciples of Christ. We are also zealous about shaping and equipping the next generation to know and love Jesus and His Word. To that end, we are looking for a minister to join our team and to come alongside parents and families in the discipleship of the children God has entrusted to us.
Job Responsibilities & Duties
- Oversee the children’s ministry (preschool through preteen) in a manner consistent with the vision and mission of Wellford Baptist Church
- Lead the large group time on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights with engaging gospel-centered and age-appropriate lessons
- Oversee implementation of Bible study curriculum
- Serve as a host on Sundays and Wednesdays by engaging with children, parents, and leaders as they arrive and leave
- Recruit and train qualified volunteers and develop and mobilize a team of ministry leaders
- Maintain with excellence a safe, clean, and prepped learning environment in accordance with Wellford’s Policies and Procedures
- Plan and orchestrate strategic special events for children and/or families
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree preferred
- Involvement and training in the areas of ministry, discipleship, child development, and leadership development
