About Finch
Finch, PC is your organization’s “own personal finance & accounting department.” We support businesses, churches, and nonprofits across the country with bookkeeping, budgeting, reporting, and payroll—so leaders can focus on running the organization.
The Role
We’re hiring an Analyst Manager to lead the Analyzer team and own the client-facing FP&A experience: budgets, forecasts, monthly reporting, dashboards, and financial strategy calls. You’ll manage analysts, guide cross-functional execution with accounting/operations, and serve as the day-to-day strategic finance partner for a portfolio of clients.
This is a leadership role for someone who can balance:
- Client trust + clear financial storytelling
- Strong modeling + clean deliverables
- Team management + scalable process
What You’ll Do
Lead client strategy + monthly reporting rhythm
- Run budget calls, forecast check-ins, and monthly financial review calls with leadership teams and budget owners
- Translate financial statements + metrics into “what this means / what we should do next”
- Drive planning conversations around staffing, expenses, cash, and operational decisions
Own budgets, forecasts, and planning deliverables
- Build and oversee annual budgets and periodic reforecasts for clients
- Create templates and planning models that are simple, scalable, and easy for clients to adopt
- Ensure consistent variance analysis, assumptions tracking, and narrative insights
Build dashboards, then operationalize them with your analyst team
- Design reporting frameworks and dashboards that fit how each client actually operates
- Hand off dashboards/models to analysts for ongoing maintenance and monthly refresh
- Establish QA standards so dashboards remain accurate, consistent, and trusted
Manage and develop analysts
- Lead a team of analysts responsible for budgeting + reporting execution
- Review work product before it goes to the client (accuracy, clarity, insight)
- Coach analysts on client communication, financial storytelling, and modeling standards
- Own workload planning, prioritization, and delivery timelines
Partner with the rest of the team to keep communication smooth
- Work within Finch’s communication model (organized, responsive, and client-friendly)
- Coordinate handoffs and expectations with teams so clients always feel supported
- Improve internal playbooks/templates so the experience scales as Finch grows
What We’re Looking For
Must-haves
- Direct experience with FP&A / strategic finance / financial analysis (consulting or multi-client experience is a plus)
- Managing or mentoring analysts (directly or as a lead)
- Strong budgeting/forecasting skillset: assumptions, scenario planning, variance analysis
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets modeling ability
- Confident, clear communicator who can lead calls with executives, pastors, or budget owners
- High standards for accuracy, organization, and “client-ready” deliverables
Nice-to-haves
- Experience serving churches and/or nonprofits (or comfort learning that context quickly)
- Familiarity with accounting systems and reporting packages (P&L/BS/CF) and working alongside accounting teams
- Experience building dashboards and reporting packages
- Comfort with process design and operationalizing repeatable monthly delivery
