Purpose: To minister to the youth in their Christian faith and in life through Bible study, prayer, fellowship, worship, service, and evangelism meeting their spiritual, social, and emotional needs.
Responsibilities:
A. Lead Youth Activities
- Plan and lead Wednesday night youth Bible Study
- Plan, organize, and implement two special youth events per month with assistance from youth, youth volunteers, and BHBC Pastor, large group meetings, small group meetings, social events, outreach events, and/or mission work
B. Foster Growth of Faith
- Pray for youth, youth families and youth volunteers
- Responsible for assuring youth are included in the life of the church
C. Maintain Communication Channels
- Make a personal contact with each youth, youth family and youth volunteers on a weekly basis
- Initiate communication with the BHBC Pastor on a weekly basis to access overall BHBC youth ministry
- Communicate and publish all activities through church newsletter and social media as needed
- Establish meaningful personal relationships with parents to foster support
- Serve as assistant in Sunday worship service Audio/Visual
