POSITION SUMMARY
The Worship Leader serves the Braeswood Church Worship Ministry by leading the congregation in worship every other Sunday and helping ensure that worship services, rehearsals, worship planning, and ministry responsibilities are carried out with excellence, organization, and professionalism. This role is responsible for the musical leadership of the worship ministry and maintaining clear communication with the Worship Director while supporting the vision and direction of Braeswood Church.
COMPENSATION
REGULAR SCHEDULE
When scheduled to lead, responsibilities generally include:
Every Wednesday Rehearsal: 7:30 PM – 9:00 PM
(Beginning in September, rehearsals will move to Thursdays from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM.)
Every Sunday Worship Service: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Every other Sunday – School of Worship: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Worship Leadership
Planning & Administration
The Worship Leader is responsible for ensuring all planning is completed accurately and on time.
At a minimum, one week prior to the scheduled service, the following must be completed:
Planning Center must be fully updated, including:
Planning should be completed with sufficient time for musicians and vocalists to prepare adequately before rehearsal at least one week before rehearsal.
Communication & Accountability
MINISTRY EXPECTATIONS
The Worship Leader's role is to lead the congregation in worship through music. The spiritual leadership, discipleship, pastoral oversight, correction, and overall direction of the worship team remain the responsibility of the Worship Director. Should these responsibilities change in the future, they will be communicated by the Worship Director.

The Worship Leader is expected to:
PROBATIONARY PERIOD
Acceptance of this position is contingent upon successfully completing a three (3) to six (6) month probationary period. This probationary period is intended to provide an opportunity for observation and evaluation of overall performance, reliability, communication, teachability, and alignment with the vision, expectations, and direction communicated by church leadership.
CONTINUED SERVICE
Continued service in this position is contingent upon the Worship Leader's consistent ability to fulfill the responsibilities and expectations outlined in this job description. This includes maintaining excellence in preparation, timeliness, communication, planning, teamwork, and alignment with the leadership, vision, and direction of the Worship Ministry. Failure to consistently meet these expectations may result in reassignment or discontinuation of the role at the discretion of church leadership.
