About Mountain View Community Church

MVCC was launched in 1997, when Guy and Lorrie Kneebone moved from Iowa to Frederick, MD to plant an EFCA church. Meeting in a High School for 13 years, Mountain View Community Church grew into a thriving community. In 2010 they moved into a new 30,000 SF facility on 20 acres and continued to grow into 3 weekend services with over 1,200 in weekly attendance. Not only did the church survive 2020 and the pandemic, but in 2021 the first campus was planted about 10 miles away and has grown to 250 in weekly attendance. Today Mountain View ministers to over 200 students per week in youth group, over 300 children per week in children's ministry and over 1,000 adults per week in worship services and groups. With a mission statement that emphasizes reaching our neighbors, the next generation and the nations for Christ, Mountain View continues to impact Frederick County and beyond with the gospel.
