About Rumple Memorial Presbyrerian Church

The church history begins with the summer visitors after the Civil War. Presbyterians were the first to build a house of worship in the town of Blowing Rock, North Carolina. A small frame structure was built in 1886, and the church was organized with eight members the following year.

Today, Rumple is an active and vibrant missional church called to worship, empowered to serve, inspiring disciples, creating community. We have a service every Sunday at 11 a.m. all year round (weather permitting!). From Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day Weekend, we also have a service at 8:45 a.m. Rumple Church observes a traditional order of worship at both our services.

We have a strong focus on Christian Education for Children, Youth, and Adults; we are actively involved with local hunger insecurities mediation efforts by our support and sponsorship of the Blowing Rock Food Pantry which is located in our facility; we have an active Musical ministry; and a forward looking capital expansion plan for the next three years.
