First Baptist Church jobs

First Baptist Church (FBC) has provided an enduring presence of Christ in Tarrytown, NY, for 179 years. The church meets in a beautiful stone building sitting on a hillside overlooking Tarrytown and the scenic Hudson River. The 110-year-old church building was gutted by fire in 1989, leaving the stone walls intact, and allowing the interior to be modernized and rebuilt for flexible use. The fire reignited the church’s work and we were able to rebuild and remain debt free throughout the process.

Today our church is made up of a diverse, multi-generational congregation, with an average of 100 attendees at our Sunday morning service. We enjoy inviting Tarrytown and the surrounding communities to join our Youth Group, VBS program in the summer, Christmas Festival in the winter, and our Senior luncheons every other month. We support domestic and foreign missions and enjoy close, interactive relationships with many of the missionaries we support. Many members of our congregation step up to serve in various ministries such as Children’s Ministry, Jr High/ Sr High Youth Group, Men’s Ministry, Women’s Ministry, Worship Team, and Prayer Ministry
