More than a century ago, fourteen Deacons from congregations in the Reformed tradition vowed to change the delivery of care for people with mental illnesses. Their goal was to offer compassionate, loving care guided by the principles of the Christian faith. From those humble beginnings, Christian Health has grown to be the gold standard among those agencies dedicated to health, healing, and wellness through a full continuum of senior life, mental-health, and short-term rehabilitation services.
Christian Health is energized by a vision to be the hands of Christ through expressions of mercy and love. The mission by which the agency lives into that vision is to foster health, healing, and wellness for people of all ages in a compassionate and loving environment consistent with the Christian principles on which it was founded.
Headquartered on 78 acres in Wyckoff, Bergen County, New Jersey overlooking the Ramapo Mountains, Christian Health has expanded its footprint into two locations in Wayne located in Passaic County, New Jersey. Christian Health is a non-profit organization serving all people regardless of race, sex, or religion.
