Well established church in a destination location for hunting and fishing. Well integrated into what is considered a medium-sized community. Major industry in town is logging/lumber production. Farming and ranching are prominent in the surrounding areas. School system graduates 30-40 high school seniors, many of which go on to college and semi-professional careers. Excellent educational opportunities are provided. The community has several places to eat and a good medium-sized grocery store. The local churches tend to cooperate. Our church traditionally provides a Christmas Eve service that is generally attended by 45-55 people from Kamiah, Kooskia, Stites, and Orofino. Shopping opportunities are available in Lewiston, ID and Clarkston, WA. Members provide services to the Cascadia nursing home in Orofino and has opportunities to mentor youth at the Idaho Youth Challenge Academy in Pierce, as well as provide messages/services on Sunday afternoon.
