Elam Egypt Baptist is located in Effingham County, Georgia, approximately ten miles north of Guyton, Georgia, 40 miles northwest of the city of Savannah, Georgia, and currently has an average attendance of about 55. The church is affiliated with both the Southern Baptist Convention and the Georgia Baptist Convention. The sanctuary was constructed in 1902 and the church campus is comprised of the Sanctuary, an Educational Building, a Mission Building, and an adjacent Pastorium. The church has a strong mission focus - locally, nationally, and internationally. There are Sunday School classes for all ages, and there are additional strong Youth and Children's Programs as well.
