We exist to Make Disciples — meaning we want to help you and your family follow Jesus, His example, and His teaching. So we preach the Bible unapologetically every week! We love good stories and creativity, but nothing ever replaces the Word of God in our worship gatherings. Please see our About Us pages to learn more about our mission, values, and beliefs.
We want to provide every opportunity for people to grow in a relationship with God and others. To get there we have and continue to develop leaders for ministries that pursue Jesus, set an example of faith, and lead, communicate, and follow through with urgency. All of our staff and volunteers at The River meet standards we want for our own children and teenagers, are screened and background checked annually, and love our community the way we do.
Our vision is that people would find both family and purpose here at the River. We believe that when you come to The River, you will find belonging both in Jesus and in the church family. These people are amazing. They are real and relatable. We laugh a lot, share incredible moments with God together, and work well together to be the hands and feet of Jesus. We also believe that you will discover you God-given purpose for life as we work through The Bible. Our desire is to be the church that loves people well. We do not simply want to exist. We want to be effective.
We also have some pretty great and important goals as a church.
Short term goal- To maintain a church culture where people of all backgrounds feel accepted, loved, and know they belong.
Long term goal- To see people’s lives changed through the Gospel.
