Student Minister

A more detailed job description is available upon request. We are looking for a person to lead our church's efforts to evangelize and disciple students in grades 6 - 12. Our student ministry currently meets on Wednesday nights and averages around 40 - 50 students. The student minister would build, equip, and lead a team of volunteer youth coaches to carry out the mission of the student ministry. In addition to the weekly programming, the student minister will take students to camp over the summer and organize and coordinate special events throughout the year.

We are an Independent Christian Church which came out of the Restoration Movement of the frontier period of America. The Restoration Movement was fueled by the desire to call all followers of Christ to unity by simply returning to the Bible as our source of authority. We do not believe that man-made creeds are necessary as the Bible is complete in and of itself as a guide for our individual lives as well as church doctrine. We have no denominational hierarchy or denominational structure. Each church operates “independently” while following the leadership of the local church elders who look to the Bible as their source of guidance and submit to Christ as the Head of the Church (Ephesians 1:22). We do not profess to be the only Christians but rather Christians only. Therefore, we choose to be called simply “Christians” rather than another distinctive denominational name.
