To provide visionary leadership and oversight to the Campus Next Gen Ministry. This position serves as a valuable member of the Campus Staff team, helping lead families as they grow in making Jesus the center of their homes.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A deep love for the Lord and a passion for the children’s culture of Western North Carolina
- An unhindered drive to present the gospel of Jesus Christ to children
- Active prayer life
- Member of Brookstone Church, abiding by the church member covenant
- Commitment to a healthy lifestyle physically, emotionally, and spiritually
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to plan months in advance
- Self-motivated, yet able to submit to authority and work within a team
- Flexibility and sensitivity to the Holy Spirit’s direction
- Emotional maturity and efficient problem-solving ability
- Experience working in children’s ministry preferred
- Experience serving on church staff preferred
- Ability to communicate with staff through established channels and methods
RESPONSIBILITIES
Vision & Strategy
- Develop a clearly defined vision and discipleship strategy for Campus Kids Ministry aligned with the overall vision of Brookstone Church
- Develop and implement a whole-family discipleship strategy, equipping and empowering parents to disciple their children
Programming & Leadership
- Oversee and plan all Kids Ministry programming at the campus level, including:
- Sunday morning Kids Worship
- Small community outreach events
- Family events and programming
- Serve as a visible leader on Sunday mornings and at campus-wide and church-wide events
- Lead and coach Kids Serve Team members at each location
- Recruit volunteers and build strong Brookstone Kids Serve Teams
- Support healthy spiritual and numerical growth across ministries, including weekly gatherings, community events, mission trips, and small groups
- Regularly make appearances on local school campuses
Administration
- Oversee the Kids Ministry budget at the campus level
- Assist in developing annual budgetary needs

ACCOUNTABILITY
This position reports to the Multi-Site Pastor.

- Oversee four volunteer teams serving in Kids Ministry at the East AVL and Burnsville locations
- Oversee the Campus Pre-School Directors at East AVL and Burnsville
