Multi-Site Kids Pastor/Director

To provide visionary leadership and oversight to the Campus Next Gen Ministry. This position serves as a valuable member of the Campus Staff team, helping lead families as they grow in making Jesus the center of their homes.

• A deep love for the Lord and a passion for the children’s culture of Western North Carolina
• An unhindered drive to present the gospel of Jesus Christ to children
• Active prayer life
• Member of Brookstone Church, abiding by the church member covenant
• Commitment to a healthy lifestyle physically, emotionally, and spiritually
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to plan months in advance
• Self-motivated, yet able to submit to authority and work within a team
• Flexibility and sensitivity to the Holy Spirit’s direction
• Emotional maturity and efficient problem-solving ability
• Experience working in children’s ministry preferred
• Experience serving on church staff preferred
• Ability to communicate with staff through established channels and methods

RESPONSIBILITIES

Vision & Strategy

• Develop a clearly defined vision and discipleship strategy for Campus Kids Ministry aligned with the overall vision of Brookstone Church
• Develop and implement a whole-family discipleship strategy, equipping and empowering parents to disciple their children

Programming & Leadership

• Oversee and plan all Kids Ministry programming at the campus level, including:
• Sunday morning Kids Worship
• Small community outreach events
• Family events and programming
• Serve as a visible leader on Sunday mornings and at campus-wide and church-wide events
• Lead and coach Kids Serve Team members at each location
• Recruit volunteers and build strong Brookstone Kids Serve Teams
• Support healthy spiritual and numerical growth across ministries, including weekly gatherings, community events, mission trips, and small groups
• Regularly make appearances on local school campuses

Administration

• Oversee the Kids Ministry budget at the campus level
• Assist in developing annual budgetary needs

ACCOUNTABILITY

This position reports to the Multi-Site Pastor.

OVERSIGHT

• Oversee four volunteer teams serving in Kids Ministry at the East AVL and Burnsville locations
• Oversee the Campus Pre-School Directors at East AVL and Burnsville

Brookstone Baptist Church, formerly North Asheville Baptist Church, has been a testimony to God’s faithfulness since its founding in 1910. Originally meeting on Forsythe Street as a satellite of First Baptist Church of Asheville, the congregation steadily grew and expanded its Gospel influence. As the church increased in membership, it relocated several times, including a move in 1972 to a new facility near I-26 and UNC-Asheville and later to Reynolds Mountain Boulevard in 1995, continuing to grow in ministry and community impact.

In 2017, after more than a century of ministry, the church became Brookstone Baptist Church and opened a new 100-acre campus in Weaverville. This campus includes worship and conference spaces, classrooms, counseling areas, a student center, and community spaces designed to serve families and reach people with the message of Christ. The church has continued to expand its outreach through ministries such as Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy and ongoing investments in the next generation.

Committed to reaching Buncombe County and beyond, Brookstone has launched multiple satellite campuses, including East Asheville in 2022, Enka in 2024, and Burnsville in 2025. Through these locations and its growing ministries, the church seeks to equip people of all ages to live intentionally for Christ and share God’s love throughout the region.
