Eudora Baptist Church is a growing, loving, intergenerational church of approximately 250 people. The desire of the church body is to love and glorify God as we pursue community over comfort, life change over numbers, and daily Christ-centered living over a Sunday-only experience.
The Pastor of Worship will work alongside the staff and volunteer leaders to shepherd the congregation to worship in Spirit and in truth. Although we pursue excellence in worship (because He is worthy), we value participation and passion over performance and style.
Qualifications:
- Growing, thriving relationship with Jesus that is demonstrated in meeting the characteristics and qualifications for an elder in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.
- Calling and commitment to serve in vocational ministry.
- Affirms and teaches the inerrancy and sufficiency of Scripture in character, conduct, and speech. (Affirms the BF&M 2000 as well)
- Strong relationship skills. Deals with confrontation in a holy manner.
- Models a missional lifestyle.
- Humble, teachable spirit and attitude.
- Leads himself and his own home with truth and dignity in the Word.
- Proficiency in leading worship. 2 or more years experience in Worship ministry preferred.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a ministry-related field (or a non-ministry Bachelor’s degree working toward a seminary degree) preferred.
- Tech savvy is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Support the pastoral staff in fulfilling the Lord’s mission and vision for the church.
- Partner with the pastoral staff to direct and develop the services of the church.
- Oversee the Music and A/V Ministry teams. Shepherd and disciple ministry volunteers into deeper intimacy and service to Christ. Equip members of those teams to be able to lead out as well.
- Model and lead heartfelt worship that draws people in, encourages participation, and points people to Jesus.
- Partner with the pastoral staff in teaching the congregation biblical worship.
- Lead in creating and implementing new worship opportunities.
- Be available to perform other pastoral duties in collaboration with the pastoral staff. Duties might include teaching/preaching, counseling, or oversight of another ministry team.
*Compensation is based on experience and education. Starting salary ranges from $28-$32/hr working 15-25 hours per week. Desire and potential for growth into full time position and salary.
